SUGGESTIONS OF ANIMATIONS MOVIES FOR YOUNGER KIDS

With kids , you try to spend quality time by playing with them s, art work and reading as well. But once you are tired, you do tend to resort back to screen time. Which is not entirely wrong if you keep in mind the control on time.

Here i share with you a list of lesser known classic animation movies which children would love to watch. Also these stories have values and educative content in them and will give a constructive screen time to your children

AGE- 2-4yrs

1. BAMBI – A classic movie from Disney. Talks about animal preservation and friendship. There are a few sad parts where Bambi’s mother is killed by the hunters. If you child is very sensitive, you can skip this part. It’s a simple movie with beautiful and soothing colors in its animations

2. Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh – Simple tale of friendship and togetherness. No objectionable parts. You can help children identify various personality traits with the help of various characters.

3. Lost & Found – It is a 30 min adaptation of a picture book written by Oliver Jeffers. Kids will love the little adventures of a boy and his new found friend a Penguin.

4. THE SNOWMAN – is another short adaptation on picture book by Raymond Briggs. Kids will enjoy this tale celebrating festivities with Santa Clause, a boy and a Snowman.

5. The Peanuts Movie- A simple tale with amazing narration. Teaches children about - perseverance and self- esteem.

AGE – 4-6 yrs

1. Marry Poppins –A Very entertaining English Classic musical movie about a new Nanny and her little magical tricks. Kids with higher attention span will gleefully sit through this entire movie.

2. Toy Story – a very entertaining adventure movie for active kids. Kids will stay glued to this engaging tale of toys. Highly imaginative exposure to kids.

3. Shaun The Sheep – Adventures of a cute little sheep. It is the lack of dialogues which makes it even more interesting. You can ask children to share their interpretations at various scenes since there are

4. Garrett’s Gift- is a story about famous inventor Garrett Morgan and his idea of the Traffic light. Will inspire a spirit of innovation among children.

5. Cars – Adventurous movie with a fast pace and attention gripping. Parents can talk about old vs new cars, good and bad behaviours
